I grew up in Lynchburg, Ohio. I was raised by my wonderful grandmother, Agnes. Agnes loved to cook and bake, and she made the best sugar cookies! The aroma of fresh baked cookies has always reminded me of her. It reminds me of how much she loved my sister and I, how much she loved her community, and how much she loved caring for others. After she passed away in 2010, my husband, Joel, and I decided to move back to my childhood home. We spent a few years remodeling the house into the home of our dreams! Once we were settled, I decided to take a baking class. I ended up falling in love with baking and decorating sweet treats! I still use my grandmother’s sugar cookie recipe, so I get to experience that sweet aroma that has always meant so much to me.
